The Wheaten's herding ability and characteristic coat are on full display in our dangling Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier earrings. They feature a silhouette of the dog in side view with an oxidized cow across its chest, signifying the breeds history working cattle on farms in Ireland. The head on the Wheaten earrings is moderately long and rectangular in appearance, but well balanced and in proportion to its medium-size body. The coat on the head blends with the rectangular outline and falls forward to shade the eyes; then extends into a beard under the chin. You can almost see the coat waving in the wind and shimmering like gold in the sun! The ears on the Wheaten earrings are smallish and point to the ground, while the tail is set high on the back, docked and carried upright 90 degrees from the back.
