In Chinese philosophy, the concept of yin yang is normally referred to in the West as "yin and yang" and is used to describe how polar or seemingly contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world and how they give rise to each other in turn. Yin yang are complementary opposites that interact within a greater whole, as part of a dynamic system. Everything has both yin and yang aspects, but either of these aspects may manifest more strongly and ebb or flow over time. The concept of yin and yang is often symbolized by various forms of the Taijitu symbol, for which it is probably best known in western cultures. Yin and yang are always opposite and equal qualities.
Our Yin and Yang charm and earring jewelry collection holds a special meaning to the Dazzling Paws Jewelry family. The design concept was inspired after fostering a very sweet little Border Collie named Sky that came from a hoarder in TX. Texas Border Collie Rescue came to the aid of about 50 dogs from horrible conditions in the fall of 2010. In the spring of 2011 they were asked once again to help 183 Border Collies from a puppy mill. The Yin and Yang pet jewelry collection is dedicated to the men and woman who help save one life at a time.
- Yin and Yang paw earrings can be worn with matching Yin and Yang Paw Print pendant.
- Black accent is hand painted onto charm and earrings. We recommend that the jewelry pieces not have any contact with water, heavy sweating or chemicals as the hand painted work will run.
- A percentage of all sales from the Yin and Yang pet collection will be donated back to animal rescue and makes a great dog-lover gift.
At Dazzling Paws Jewelry, we understand and appreciate the difficult work animal rescue groups and animal shelters do to compassionately and effectively respond to those animals that are suffering and in need. That's why we're donating a percentage of all sales from our Yin and Yang jewelry to help offset medical expenses at animal rescues and shelters across the United States.
Past recipients include:
